A ROLE FOR THE HOST, TOO

DETECTIVES SOLVE. THE HOST SETS THE SCENE.

The host is part of
the adventure.

While the detectives follow the clues, the host helps tell the story, delivers the next twist and keeps the investigation moving. The included Host Guide gives this role its own scripts, hints and answers.

  1. Set the scene. Read-aloud scripts welcome the detectives into the mystery.
  2. Keep the story moving. The host checks answers and releases the next evidence packet.
  3. Give a nudge. Hints help the team move forward without giving away the solution.
  4. Deliver the reveal. The host brings the final discovery to life and celebrates with the team.

The Host Guide contains answers. Hosting is a different role from solving the mystery blind; the kit’s instructions explain how to play.
